Watts Ward passed away on December 15, 2025. He served on the Watersedge board of managers from 2013-2022. He was predeceased by his wife Brenda in May 2025 and is survived by his sons Matt and wife Bathsheba and Michael and wife Alison, and four grandchildren. His beach home was at 315 Lu Lane.
Hazel Markham
Hazel Markham passed on June 15, 2025. She was a long-time resident of Watersedge, and her place was at 306 Courtney Court. Hazel is survived by her daughters Marcia Powell and Wyndy Gillis, two grandchildren, and a brother. Her husband Baswell Markham predeceased her and served several terms on the Watersedge board of managers.
Cameron Daniels
Cameron Daniels passed away on January 29, 2025. His beach home was at 320 Jamie Circle. He is survived by his wife Rita, sons John and Marc, mother Shirley, two sisters, and two grandchildren.
Charlie Henderson
Charlie Henderson passed away on August 29, 2024. His beach home was at 309 Jamie Circle. He is survived by his wife Mary, son Eric Henderson, daughter, Kristi Gilewicz, stepdaughters Erin Lewis and Laura Barry, and four granddaughters.
Roger Morton
Roger Morton passed away on December 20, 2023. He is survived by his daughters, Angela Shaffer and Teresa Chapman, and sons, Patrick Morton, Donald Chapman, and Roy Chapman. He lived at his beach home at 313 Hunter Lane.
Earline Bowden
Earline Bowden passed away on May 27, 2023. She is survived by her children, Lisa Hogan and Kevin Bowden. Her mobile home was at 307 Courtney Court.
Jack Polo
Jack Polo passed away on February 4, 2023. He is survived by his sons, Jack and Jim, and a daughter, Jennifer. His beach home was at 320 Watersedge Drive.
Ray Smith
Ray Smith passed away on July 10, 2022. He is survived by his family, Donna Denning and Dan and Laura Denning, 304 Watersedge Drive.
Royce Morton
Royce Morton passed away on September 4, 2021. She is survived by her husband, Roger, 313 Hunter Circle.
Newman Parris
Newman Parris passed away on July 15, 2021. He was actively involved in the Park and enjoyed his place at 332 Watersedge Drive from the early 1990’s until recently. He is survived by his son Al Parris, who now is at 332 Watersedge Drive.
Danny Lyliston
Danny Lyliston passed away April 25, 2019. His Watersedge place was at 319 Lu Lane. He served on the original Watersedge Board of Directors.
Butch Satterfield
Dennis “Butch” Satterfield passed away on September 27, 2018. His beach place was at 322 Jamie Circle.
Larry Hunter
Larry Hunter passed away May 4, 2018. His beach place was at 308 Courtney Court.
Leo Rudder passed away June 10, 2016 at the Hawfields Presbyterian Home. His beach place was at 311 Hunter Circle.
Laurie Adams
Laurie Adams passed on June 29, 2025. Laurie was the wife of Fred Adams, a member of the Watersedge board of managers, and their Watersedge mobile home is at 312 Watersedge Drive. In addition to her husband Fred, Laurie is survived by her sons Tripp and Walker, a granddaughter Maryanna, her father John Hamer, and her brother Scott Hamer.
Brenda Ward
Brenda Ward passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025. Brenda was the wife of Watts Ward, and their Watersedge mobile home is at 315 Lu Lane. In addition to her husband Watts, Brenda is survived by their sons Matt and Michael and grandchildren Lily, Delia, Michaela, and Watts. She is also survived by her siblings, Steve Terry, Kim Hawks, and Tybee Collins.
Robin Beilby
Robin Beilby passed away on October 17, 2024. Her beach home was at 337 Jamie Circle. She is survived by her partner Barbara Maurer, a nephew Michael and his wife Mariela, and a niece Shannon and her partner Kenny.
Ham Lang
Jamie E. “Ham” Lang passed away August 8, 2024. From 1996-2009, he served as president of Watersedge Corporation and was a member of the original Watersedge Board of Directors. He is survived by his wife Linda, son Jamie E. Lang, III, and daughter Misty Lang Chase. His beach home was at 314 Watersedge Drive.
Tet Walton
Tet (Emma) Walton passed away November 27, 2023. She served on the original Watersedge Board of Directors and remained on the board for a number of years. She is survived by her children Annie Walton Wyatt and Jack Walton. Her beach place was at 334 Watersedge Drive.
Gene Martinez
Gene Martinez passed away on June 2, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Cartwright of 336 Watersedge Drive.
Gordon Jones
Gordon Jones passed away on April 22, 2023. He is survived by his wife Joan and three children, Robin Butler, Lloyd Jones, and Kara Jones. His beach home was at 346 Watersedge Drive, which he co-owned with Joan Jones and Powell Banner. He served on the Watersedge Board of Directors in the past.

Doris York passed away on November 18, 2022. She is survived by her son, Travis York, and daughter, Robin Weitzel, 333 Jamie Circle.

Irvin Harris passed away on December 28, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Mary, 319 Jamie Circle.

Leon Duncan passed away February 5, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. His beach place was at 309 Lu Lane. He served on the original Watersedge Board of Directors and remained on the board for a number of years.

Dan Hill passed away February 1, 2017 at his home. His beach place was at 330 Watersedge Drive. He served on the Watersedge board of managers from 2006-2014 and was president of the board for several years until 2014.
Michael Neal
Michael Neal passed away March 18, 2016, at his home in Hillsborough. His beach place was at 362 Watersedge Drive.
Myrtle Carter
Myrtle Carter passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. She and her late husband, Doug, owned a home at 341 Jamie Circle. They were among the original owners when the park was purchased.
